![]() After the scenario, you unlock the three first campaigns and completing these unlock more and so on. You get to start out with a tutorial, as is the standard, but you can skip it if you feel confident in your experience with these kinds of games. I will not go into detail about every part of the campaign, as we wouldn’t want any real spoilers, but there are campaign planets for every faction of the game, taking away a few hours of game time each. You can always play the game in scenario mode, just bashing skulls for fun, but there’s also a proper campaign laying in wait for us to conquer. Other army stayed closer to clear stuff & defend the empire. Turn 15: Split army, sent leader off to acquire Lords of the Deep (merfolk quest, sunken cities) with which to attack opponent. Divine Protection makes mammoth rider into an invincible tank. This is why you play necromancer frostings. Turn 14: Cleared Castle of the Lich King. Expected a unit to be out of range of my hero after attacking with corpse, it wasn’t…so I lost the hero, also didn’t soften them up enough for my main forces to deal with them. Went in with leader, hero, 4 sacrificial corpses to soften up the enemies. With strong defenders, that’s 2 phalanxes + manticore rider and the usual defenders. Lots of gold for settling, no mana sites. Turns 1-6: Clearing gold mines & stuff, no losses. ![]()
